Ever wanted to sword fight? Discover the secrets of the trade with the woman who worked with the best theatres in the UK, teaching their actors how to fight like they mean it.
Feel like you’re in a pirate movie with some OTT sword fighting.
We will learn Hollywood Swashbuckling techniques from the golden age of cinema with a healthy dollop of Pirate Cutlass thrown in.
We will practice classic, easy to execute routines as we build your own virtual sword fight.
It’s time to impress with a new skill. Engarde!
This class is open to all. You don’t need to be athletic and you don’t need any acting experience.
You will need something to practice with.
So unless you have a sword lying around, you will need:
A 3ft (1 meter) length of garden cane or similar, some cardboard such as a cereal box and scissors
We will make own sword at the start of the class.
Space: you will need to take 4 steps and be able to extend their arm and ‘sword’ up down and side to side so about 3m sq. will be great to have.
