Do you want to write funny?
Instead of spending hours writing to produce funny in drops, by accident, and not knowing why this joke works and the other doesn’t - you can learn the rules of comedy and start producing funny stuff ten times faster by following a structure or making your own.
When you know the rules of comedy, writing funny stuff is so much easier.
This is why we got Adam Courting to teach you just that.
You will get to practice and get feedback on writing as if you were born funny.
You will learn:
The structure of skits and sketches
How to develop ideas for funny pieces
How to create good comedy characters
Understanding context for funny scenes
How to come up with great endings
And more tricks and tips to make your comedy writing easy, flowing and funny
The work will be very practical, which means you will get to write a lot of your own stuff.
You’ll be encouraged to start your own comedy journal and get professional feedback on what you write so you can develop quickly and save many hours of writing on your own to get to a higher writing level.
This is a beginners’ course.
No experience is needed, only a desire to crack the formula of writing funny.
The teacher and the group are very supportive.
We’ll all practice writing together and probably have a laugh too.
Your teacher: Adam Courting
Adam is an actor, writer, improviser and teacher.
He actually loves doing many other things too but this isn't a dating profile....or is it?
His interest in the arts came from a young age when he was watching the end credits in films and saw how much fun everyone was having during the outtakes!
Now he is able to practice, research and teach across many different disciplines and he is loving it.
Adam has written and performed in several sketch shows and regularly performs improv and is a part of London's first all-black improv troupe 'Do The Right Scene' and acappella improv troupe 'Acaprov'.
