Want to write a play?

Getting started is always the hardest part of writing a play. This first workshop in our playwriting series will focus on how to find ideas, and how to turn the germ of an idea into a full-length narrative.

Discover different story structures and find the most suitable structure for your story.

Learn (and practice) how to plot out an intriguing start, a juicy middle and a satisfying end.

By the end of this session, you will have decided on a rough story you can carry on writing on your own or with the support of our next workshops in this series.

This is a very practical workshop so you will get time to practice what you learn and get personal feedback and guidance from the teacher.

Rebecca Manning-Reid is a playwright, a screenwriter and a journalist.

The workshop is suitable for beginners and you don’t need to have any writing experience to take it.
