The Technique of (many) Characters

Vocal technique and character creation

You can already make different voices.

You like creating different characters and finding new ones in your range.

The way you do it is based on instincts, inspiration and, of course, your talent.

But what if we told you that by learning the technique of producing different voices, you could do much better.

That by understanding how to work with your voice, you could produce many more characters (and more easily too), keep voices you found and do all of it in a sustainable way that will keep your voice healthy for years to come?

We created this course so you can get all this.

Join this course and learn how to:

  • Voice very different characters for the same project (a common request in video games and animation) and shift quickly between them.

  • Express emotions and intentions without slipping back into your own voice.

  • Read an audiobook with different character voices and go back to exactly the same voice for each character.

  • Do all of this in a healthy way that will keep your voice ready for the next project for years and years to come.

What do we mean by "technical"?

Ok, here are some of the things you'll learn:

  • How your voice box (aka larynx) works.

  • How to control the different parts of your voice box.
(Not just theory, actual excises that you'll practice until you can do it)

  • How to technically produce different voices and sound qualities.
(manipulating your larynx in different ways and then mixing it up)

  • Breath control, voice placements, controlling tonality and so much more…

To do this, we'll work with voice acting scripts, making up and playing with different characters. It'll be fun!

Hi, I'm Sandra.

I'm a blind voiceover artist.

I'm also a classically trained soprano singer, a stage and TV actor and a radio presenter.

My Opera career gave me the tools to understanding and controlling the voice in a way that I found extremely beneficial for my voice acting career.

I'd love to teach you that technique too, so you can stand out from the crowd in your mastery of your instrument.

Oh, and I'd love to hear what characters you'll be bringing into the sessions :)
